TITLE: Diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations, cultures, practices, and beliefs on early childhood education.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Examine the significance of diversity, culture, practice, and beliefs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples on the provision of early childhood education.
- Justify the significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander resilience; ways of knowing and being; teaching and learning to integrate cultural identity into early childhood contexts.
- Apply the principles and practices of anti-bias and reconciliation into curriculum provision for embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in early childhood contexts.
- Formulate a personal teaching identity that acknowledges and embeds respectful understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into everyday practice in an early childhood educational setting.

For this assessment task you will need to complete three (3) tasks that examine the importance of the diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nations, cultures, practices, and beliefs on early childhood education.
TASK 1: Poster
You are required to create an A3 size digital poster exploring:
one (1) Torres Strait Islander and
one (1) local Aboriginal Nation
For each of your two (2) chosen Nations explore:
Local Cultures
Local Practices
Local languages, and
Choose a local story or song that could be shared with children 0-5 years.
TASK 2: Multimodal Presentation
You are required to write and digitally record an original Acknowledgement of Country that is appropriate for children aged 2 to 5 years. Ensure your Acknowledgement of Country specifies and describes the Country you are on; names the Mob or if the land is contested always name both or all the Mobs; uses traditional names for significant areas to you and your local Aboriginal community; and pays respects to Elders.
