Task instructions:
Write an essay to explain how kaiako /teachers in early childhood settings strive to achieve the aspiration statement of Te Whāriki the early childhood curriculum of Aotearoa New Zealand.
What does bicultural practices mean? How is this actioned by kaiako when teaching infants, toddlers and young children in the early childhood education contexts in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Refer to at least one theory and one philosophy eg. you may choose Reggio Emilia Approach as a philosophy and Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory.
A clear discussion of Te Whariki and other education documents, (Tataiako, Te Tiriit o Waitangi, Tapasa, New Zealand Curriculum Framework, and other international literature and research to support using appropriate APA standard referencing procedures (Edn. 7) is to be carried out.
