This assessment has two components: a referenced poster and an abstract.
Referenced poster: Using a single PowerPoint slide (landscape or portrait), construct a referenced poster summarising the evidence-based care of people with post-operative pain and nausea and vomiting. You can choose to relate this to one person in your care or look at the topic as a whole.
Your poster may be created using narrative and de-identified visual images (e.g., photographs, online pictures, graphs, or SmartArt).
Referenced abstract: Attach a 250-word plain English summary (abstract) and reference list of the evidence used to inform your nursing care. Your abstract should include:
I. Title and Author Information – Provide a short, descriptive title, followed by your name and credentials (e.g., Post-operative pain and nausea and vomiting management – Phillipa Burnham, RN).
II. Discussion and conclusion – Explain the clinical decisions and rationale. Please upload the referenced poster (PowerPoint slide) and abstract (Word document) into CNnect as two separate documents.
